I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend! Here in New Jersey we've been fortunate to get some nice weather, so far... hopefully I didn't just jinx us.
I wanted to post a quick update regarding some more of my own personal experiences with resveratrol. This past Monday I started increasing my dose. I decided to try out a small theory of mine regarding the potential for muscle recovery benefits. I am now taking 500mg of t-Resv about 45 minutes prior to working out and another 500mg about an hour after I finish working out. So to recap I take a total of 1000mg on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The other days I continue to take 500mg per day once daily. I will do this for the next 4 weeks to see if I notice any positive effects with regards to my muscle recovery between workouts. So far, I am unable to distinguish any real differences in recovery. I'll keep you updated.
I've continued to benefit from the extra energy I'm feeling after a short nights sleep. Personally for me this is the greatest benefit of Resveratrol so far. I truly feel like I've had 2 or 3 extra hours added to my day. Combined with the extra energy I get from a healthier lifestyle I feel like a new person... and all within a relatively short period of time. This isn't as hard as I thought it would be, and that excites me!!
Sorry, I can't resist saying the following: If you're on the sidelines from a health standpoint ask yourself this, "How long have I been telling myself I want to get healthy, workout, eat better, and feel better mentally?" For most of us the answer to this question is a long period of time. For me it was close to 10 years. I had great excuses also... wait, there is no such thing as a great excuse not to take care of yourself. I don't want to preach but I am here to tell you once you get started it's really not that hard. You don't have to become the next National Fitness Champ! A little attention to yourself can go a long way. So just stop talking to yourself, making excuses, and just start doing it!
