Just a lil' bit about me...
I am 32 years old and for the past 12 years have focused on building my business and enjoying my time with my wife. Unfortunately, I did not focus too much on my healthy well being. Throughout my teens and up until I was about 20 I was very physically active. I played numerous sports (baseball, tennis, golf, volleyball, etc.) and was at the gym 5 days a week. At my peak I was 175 pounds and approximately 7-8% body fat. I was in the greatest physical shape of my life. Since then I have focused primarily on work and had little to no exercise at all. Over those past 12 years I let my body and physiological health deteriorate to a point where I felt completely unhealthy. It was time to do something about it...
About 5 weeks ago I put in motion a plan to get healthy again. I began to change my diet and decided to get some help in the gym. I felt finding a knowledgeable personal trainer would be the best way to get myself on track. After a local search and good recommendations I started to work out again and already can feel my conditioning improve.
Where does resveratrol come in...?
Well, as a brief side note, I am very interested in financial research. I enjoy looking for undervalued or "great idea" companies and investing in them. One of my searches had me come across Sirtris Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: SIRT). I found their studies about Resveratrol extremely interesting and on the "right" track. (more on SIRT and their studies a little bit later)
It was difficult to find any information from "real people" who have experienced ResV for themselves. There are many scientific studies, and very few human studies, that it's hard to know how Resveratrol will truly effect you. However, I felt I was able to piece enough information together that after about a month of intense research I began taking it for myself.
This blog is my journey into using Resveratrol and will hopefully become a great resource of information for others. I want to hear your stories, I want to answer your questions, and I want to find out if Resveratrol really works. Please participate in the discussions and let me know what you think of my posts. Is your experience similar or completely different then mine?
My baseline information as of March 20th, 2008:
- 5' 8" tall
- 168 lbs.
- 21.5% body fat

I look forward to learning more with you...
Live Longer,
