Breaking News: I feel like the Incredible Hulk! Woohooo!! Ok, alright, I'm just kidding! I couldn't resist with the new movie release coming out and since the Incredible Hulk was my favorite childhood superhero. Oh, and did I mention Liv Tyler... dayamn!!
Back to business...
Another week has past and I've continued on the same resvertrol plan I outlined in a previous post. 1000mg/day on workout days and 500mg/day on recovery days. I plan on getting up to 2 grams per day but for now I am sticking with the current dosage.
I've had something occur that I am really hoping someone else can either confirm has happened to them or not; I've been able to stay out in the sun for much longer then I was previously able to. Now let me explain this a bit...
I have sensitive skin when it comes to the sun and also when it comes to applying lotions, etc. Until I was about 20 years old my ability to be out in the sun was excellent. I was a lifeguard and played several sports so my body was very used to the sun. At 21 I went on "accutane" to clear up some acne that had been nagging me and not willing to go away. The accutane worked well for me but it change my skin permanently, or so I thought. Since going through the accutane treatment I have not been able to spend much time in the sun or in high heat conditions. When I do my skin would burn quickly and I would get very irritating heat rashes. This made me stay away from any activities where prolonged exposure to the sun was avoided at all costs.
So now the summer is virtually here and the weather in New Jersey is shaping up. Last weekend and again this weekend I spent time at the beach... alot of time, several hours each weekend. I used the same sun tan lotion I've used for the past few years. Did I burn? Yes, but not too bad and it cleared up in a matter of 48 hours. Did I get my heat rash? Yes, but so mild it was hardly noticeable. I've only been on the resveratrol for about 4 weeks and am excited to see if my sun tolerance continues to increase. No more burning and no more heat rashes would be a huge, unexpected, benefit of using t-resv. If anyone else has had similar experiences I'd love to hear about them so please chime in with your own personal experience.
As for the other effects I am feeling and have previously made posts on, I am still feeling them all. More energy (and energy waves), more efficient sleep, sharper mind, tighter skin, and less soreness after an intense workout. After my recent increase to 1 gram of trans-resveratrol per day on workout days I have found the following to be happening: a slight increase in energy on those 1-gram days, waking up earlier the day after a 1-gram dose without the less-sleep feeling, and a diminished appetite the following day as well.

I also have started taking resveratrol for wellness and to combat my inflammation in my sinuses that seems to go down with increased antioxidant and resveratrol use. I am taking 200mg of resveratrol and an antioxidant multi A, C, E. I want to get back on COQ-10 and D3 because when I took these as well it really made me look more refreshed.
I notice I sleep better after one week of using resveratrol daily (2X) day. I started with once a day but the bottle says twice a day. Within 20 minutes or so of taking resveratrol my sinus pressure goes down and I breathe better. My energy has increased and I dont feel exhausted after a workout.
I am going to stick with one pill a day unless my sinus pressure comes back. So far so good.
I got the info from Suzanne Somers book "Breakthrough." It is a wonderful and insightful book on anti-aging. Personally I think she looks great! I am 35 and hope to look that good when her age!
